Blue Hour 03:53
BLUE HOUR In the aura of blue twilight Mourning never looked so beautiful We'd been holding on for dear life And we grieved illusion of control Letting go Of all we'd known Letting go We grow In the hour of true insight Every prophecy our souls foretold Letting go Of all we'd known Letting go We grow Oh-oh-oh... Letting go Of all we'd known Letting go We grow We grieved illusion of control, oh Every prophecy our souls foretold Mourning never looked so beautiful

Moses 04:09
MOSES Star-crossed angel, Though we’ve just met, I know you You’re holding on by a thread, just barely I’m throwing down rope for you, for you ‘Cause I know who you are Moses, these roses are yours, What a show But you know I know who you are Your soul is older than your skin lets on I’ve held you close in our past lives, past lives So I know who you are, who you are Moses, these roses are yours, What a show Moses, these roses are yours, Take a bow Petals fall like all the tears we sing to cry...cry Moses, these roses are yours, What a show

October 04:48
OCTOBER When you’re called away On a cold October day, My spirits will be falling with the leaves When you’re called away, Not one word you’ll need to say, My lost soul will follow your lead Your blood, your skin, Your war within, I will wear your scars as my own Your touch, my grin, Our story begins, And history rings through my bones Why didn’t you wait for me? Now that I’m here and real You finally believe That we’re meant to be We don’t get to choose Without proof I already knew It’s always been you Always been you When you came to stay, In my old October way, Carved our fate in the tombs of my eyes By my side you lay, Like it happens everyday, I implored the sun not to rise My heart, my mind, The stars designed Your one true perfect counterpart Why didn’t you wait for me? Now that I’m here and real You finally believe That we’re meant to be We don’t get to choose Without proof I already knew It’s always been you Always been you I wanna be your Indian Summer, Heat goes on and on I wanna be your Indian Summer, Long after autumn’s gone Why didn’t you wait for me? Now that I’m here and real You finally believe That we’re meant to be We don’t get to choose Without proof I already knew It’s always been you Always been you Always been you

Leap 03:43
LEAP Do you know the way to hell? Those who’ve been there burn to tell Caught me falling Paradise enticed us young Tasted heaven on your tongue Oooh-oooh Where were you? I’ll land, but I thought We’d jump hand in hand Look before you Look before you Look before you Look before you Look before you leap From great heights, I saw my death Hanging on your every breath Swore “forever” Parachute refused with pride Trusting love would save my life Oooh-oooh Where were you? I’ll land, but i thought We’d jump hand in hand Look before you Look before you Look before you Look before you Look before you leap

Nameless 04:06
NAMELESS I don't wanna know your name All I need to know is written, written In the lines upon your forehead I don't wanna label you Or pretend you're my possession, possession I just wanna share this moment We're born alone We'll die alone We live to know love in between You're my kindred I have opened up my veins Let you swim beneath the surface, surface Of an ocean few discover We're born alone We'll die alone We live to know love in between You're my kindred Under violet skies In another body, body I'll think of you and smile Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh You're my kindred You saw me right away You saw me right away We're born alone We'll die alone We live to know love in between You're my kindred I don't wanna know your name

Orion 03:52
ORION I said goodbye to the sun’s Golden hour in your gaze Our colors started to run And desire was betrayed ‘Cross the horizon Your magnetic misery My thrill of the chase Eternal hunters And immortal prey Found lost in space Orion, you’re lyin’ so close Yet so far away Orion, you’re lyin’ so close I could reach out and touch you I felt the glow fade away Gone as quickly as it came Blue shadows crept in The sky could swallow you whole Who was I to say no? Our celestial spark Ignited one last flame Out of the dark Hearts never see the same I’d light the way Orion, you’re lyin’ so close Yet so far away Orion, you’re lyin’ so close I could reach out and... Orion, you’re lyin’ so close Yet so far away Orion, you’re lyin’ so close I could reach out and touch I could reach out and touch you Though in the end we were doomed Killed our world before it bloomed Our love is deathless When all your seven stars depart this place We’ll embrace Orion, you’re lyin’ so close Yet so far away Orion, you’re lyin’ so close I could reach out and touch I could just barely touch I know I’ll never touch you

Lava 04:16
LAVA Devil only knows Who he owns Who he owns Never told a soul What I owe Was I sold out? All the lava I contain Tremors I’ve wrestled and tamed Tip-toe around the mouth Ashes float out But eruption is not allowed Waiting for forever I’ve been waiting for forever Waiting, waiting for forever Waiting to explode Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh When it’s time to go Will you know? Will you know? Death is always slow If your soul Takes the long route All the lives you’ve lived before Have brought you to destiny’s door, oh-oh-oh See you on the other side Say your goodbyes Spirit is ready to rise Waiting for forever I’ve been waiting for forever Waiting, waiting for forever Waiting to explode Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh Say your goodbyes, Spirit is ready to rise Waiting for forever I’ve been waiting for forever Waiting, waiting for forever Waiting to explode Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Easy As This 03:27
EASY AS THIS Hug me 'til I feel your bones And then you'll have to let go Look at me just one last time Then close your eyes for good, and How could something so easy as this Be the hardest thing I have ever Done with Sunday, see you in my dreams Long after you're gone I'll remember stories of your life As though they're my own, but How could something so easy as this Be the hardest thing I have ever done? I have ever done Something so easy as this Is the hardest thing I have ever done

Signals 04:20
SIGNALS Please forgive my trespasses, I'm a weary soul I have wandered faithfully, faithfully In search of gold But it's not where I thought it would be Planted here in front of me Send me a sign that I'm on The right track Signals that shine clear and strong: Don't turn back Don't turn back Don't turn back Please excuse my restlessness, Time is taking its toll I have waited patiently, patiently To learn and grow But I'm not where I thought I would be Buried deep inside of me Send me a sign that I'm on The right track Signals that shine clear and strong: Don't turn back Don't turn back Don't turn back

about

As You Go was mainly recorded in Silverlake and North Hollywood, with integral pieces captured in Mar Vista while Britt was house-sitting for Dan Heath and in upstate New York where Angel was living when she contributed to "Nameless." "Orion" would not exist without the Mellotron lent to us by Dave Sitek. This album would not exist without the heartache of loss, the beauty of healing through music, and the support of our families and close friends. October's Child would not exist without Carron Mitchell.
